About Face: making faces changing the face of beauty retail

making faces in the Union Leader

“Thank goodness for places like making faces, where owner and makeup artist Annie Loomis takes the fear out of getting decked out to deck the halls”

–Jody Record, Union Leader Correspondent

In an article sub-titled, “Makeup novice turns to an expert to achieve a holiday look” Union Leader Correspondent Jody Record documented her experience at making faces this holiday season.  Inexperienced and unsure, making faces guided Record to a perfect holiday look... for her.

At making faces, we understand that not everyone is an expert. More importantly, we understand that each woman is unique. From novices to experts, we're here to help.  We offer several one-on-one sessions, each uniquely designed to help women of all ages learn how to use makeup to compliment their natural beauty:
  • Makeup 101- This instructional one-on-one lesson will take you through the basic fundamentals of skincare and make-up application, teaching you the proper use of product, color, and techniques. No matter what your comfort level or lifestyle is we can help you achieve a "polished up" not "made-up" look. Wait and see how easy it is to do yourself. (60 minutes)
  • 10 Rules of Teenage Beauty- This instructional make-up lesson helps teach teens how to define their own personal beauty style. Our goal is to teach teens to achieve a make-up look that is fresh-faced, pretty, and most of all "age appropriate." This lesson also includes brow and skin care instruction, as well as answers to the most asked teen beauty questions. (30 minutes)
Even better- a session with one of our beauty experts is affordable and never more than $50. Call today to book "Makeup 101", "10 Rules of Teenage Beauty", or  any other of our one-on-one sessions, (603) 427-5454
